Indonesia offers a Visa on Arrival (VoA) for travelers from over 90 countries, which allows for a stay of up to 30 days with the option to extend once for another 30 days. This can be arranged online or upon arrival in Indonesia.

For countries such as Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Myanmar, there's a visa-free tourist entry with a stay of 30 days, which cannot be extended.

If your country doesn't qualify for visa-free entry or VoA, you will need to apply for a Single Entry visa (valid for 60 days) before coming to Indonesia.

Indonesia Visa Types

Indonesia has updated its visa system for 2024. Here's a summary of the options:

How to Apply for Indonesian Visa Online?

Want to get a Bali visa online? Here's how you can do it hassle-free in 2024:

  1. First, go to the official Directorate General of Immigration visa application portal and register.
  2. Watch your email — you will receive a username and password.
  3. Log in with these details, select the visa you're applying for, fill in all the required information, and upload all the necessary documents.
  4. You'll need to make a payment next, so double-check everything before you pay, as you won't get a refund if your application doesn't go through.

Applications are accepted from all over the world and normally take about 3–5 days. Once your visa is approved, it will be emailed to you with a download link for the visa, which means that you are ready to travel to Indonesia.

Indonesia Visa-On-Arrival: Rules and Electronic Application

Bali visa on arrival (VoA) and its online version, the eVoA, are perfect for a quick trip, allowing for a 30-day visit that can be extended for another 30 days.

When you arrive in Indonesia, just go straight to the Visa on Arrival counter, show your passport, the approval email, and any other documents they ask for. The immigration officer will give you your VoA, and you're ready to explore Indonesia.

Here are the essential documents you will need for your application:

  1. A passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the date of application and has an empty page for the electronic visa.
