Can I renew my Pakistani passport online?
Yes, you can renew your passport via Internet if yours is a machine readable passport that has expired or its validity is less than 12 months. Because this renewal happens online, you can access the service worldwide.
How to apply for a Pakistani passport online?

Here are the steps to apply:
- On the page, click on "Get Started";
- Register your account and confirm your identity using the code sent by SMS (only if you’re in Pakistan) and email;
- Create an application;
- Input your delivery address;
- Pay the application fee by credit or debit card;
- Fill out other required personal details;
- Upload your Pakistani passport application photo;
- Upload your documents;
- Download the fingerprint form, capture your fingerprints as instructed, then upload the form after scanning it;
- Review your information and submit it.
What documents are required for a Pakistani passport renewal?
Here are the documents needed for Pakistani passport renewal:
- Color scanned copies of both sides of your valid CNIC or NICOP or Smart CNIC or NICOP;
- Color scanned copies of your current passport (first two pages and one random page asked by the system).
- Color scanned copy of a valid visa, Aqama, residence permit, asylum card, or another nationality passport.
For minors, here are the additional documents needed:
- Color scanned copies of both sides of valid NICOP or Smart card or Computerized B-Form or Family Registration Certificate;
- Color scanned copies of mother and father valid National ID Cards (both sides);
- Guardianship certificate or court decision in case of separation;
- Color scanned copy of minor’s attestation form;
- Color scanned copy of Death Certificate if the mother or father has passed away;
- Color scanned copy of a valid visa, Aqama, residence permit, asylum card, or another nationality passport.
Pakistani passport photo specifications
Make sure your photo fulfils these requirements:
- The image must be in colour;
- The Pakistani passport photo size must be 35 mm in width and 45 mm in height;
- The maximum file size is 5 MB;
- The height of your head in the picture must be between 25 to 35 mm, while the space above your head from 3 to 5 mm;
- The picture must be no older than six months;
- The background must be plain white;
- Glasses are allowed. The frame must not cover any part of your eyes. There must be no glare on the lenses. Dark glasses are not permitted;
- You can wear a head covering for religious or medical reasons. Your full facial features must be visible. You cannot wear head accessories for any other reason;
- Your photo must be in focus. Balance the lighting and colour, not too dark or too light;
- There must not be any shadows on your face or behind your head;
- 'Red eye' in photographs is not acceptable;
- Keep your facial expression neutral and look straight into the camera.
