Who needs to book a U.S. visa appointment in Egypt?

Complete the DS-160 application
The DS-160 is the online application for most nonimmigrant visas. Enter your details exactly as they appear in your passport, select the U.S. Embassy in Cairo as the application location, answer the travel and eligibility questions, and submit the form. Save and print the confirmation page with its barcode; you do not need to print the full form. The barcode number is needed when booking your appointment. - Submit one DS-160 for each applicant. Save every confirmation page and barcode number.
- Open the Egypt visa appointment service. Sign in or create a profile using your own contact details.
- Choose the correct visa category and Cairo location. Add the passport information and the DS-160 confirmation number exactly as shown on the form.
- Add accompanying applicants, if applicable. A family may be able to manage its bookings in one profile, but each person must have an individual DS-160 and fee where required.

Immigrant applicants should not use the nonimmigrant rescheduling steps. The Cairo immigrant visa instructions direct applicants who cannot attend to contact Visa Customer Service. A replacement interview can take considerable time; for preference and DV cases, a visa number may not remain available. The Embassy says an assigned immigrant appointment must be registered online before it can be rescheduled, and a new date can only be after the original one.
